Milk Bar opens in Rotterdam!
Milkbar, Test Site for Local Business
On Friday 29 June, the-first-of-its-kind Milk Bar opens its door in the Rotterdam Central District, next to Schieblock. This pop-up space will invite people into a wide range of fast healthy milk drinks such as smoothies, milk, and yoghurt made of local, fresh ingredients. Yet, its aim doesn’t only lie in providing fun & healthy drinks but also in bringing a lively vibe into a rather neglected part of the city.
Serving Fast & Healthy Milk Based Drinks
Milk Bar’s main menu is based on 3-step choices–a base milk, a main ingredient, and an add-on, which will allow all sorts of mix possible such as Raspberry Basil Smoothie or Chocolate Banana Soya Smoothie. There will be also ready-made recipes and good-for-you snacks. We use as locally as possible ingredients in all our menu.
Test Site for Local Business
Milk Bar is part of Test Site Rotterdam on the occasion of the 5th International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam where the ideas on our urban conditions are tested and discussed. 5 students from INSIDE master program at Royal Academy of Arts are working together in order to test their ideas of importance of local economy in the making of a vibrant city district.
The forepart of Riverside Gallery will be transformed into Milk Bar–the progress that will be available on TheMilkBar.nl and facebook.com/MilkBarRotterdam. The opening will be on Friday, 29 June 2012 from 5pm.
